  With this period of work, I have almost completed the violinist.  It still misses one foot, but I plan to solve its problem shortly. :-)

  With today's work also the violin is complete. As you can see, it's a transparent one.  The violin among the musical instruments it's my favorite.  And no, I can't play it. I've already painted it several times, so I thought that for this one, I was going to do something different, and that's where the idea of the transparency comes from.   The time has come to start working on the subjects, finally, with the background done (at least the first layer), it’s going to be easier to get the light inside the dummies.
• The Background

  With today’s work, the first layer of the background is complete. Now, a few days of rest to let it dry, and then I start working on the subjects.
• Only the very bottom left

  With this new progress, the only part left to paint of the background is the very bottom part. It's a part full of details, and is going to take me a few days to complete. But right now, the shapes of the subjects already give a good idea of what the final work will look like. At least the idea is clear.
• The town at the bottom

  With today's work, I started the town at the bottom of the canvas. It will be a long job, with a lot of details (for a change ;-) ). But I like the colors I picked so far; the more I see it, the more I believe that I picked the right environment for this scene. Let me know what you think.

  With today's work, most of the background is complete. It should already be enough to get the right light of the subjects, but I decided that I'm going to complete it before starting to work on them.

  With today's progress, the tall building in the background is complete, at least for the first layer. The subjects are starting to take on their final shapes.  I can already see a few adjustments that need to be made to the background, and it's not even finished yet.

  Today's work has allowed the tall building in the background to start taking shape. The subject is becoming clearer, even though I haven't begun painting any part of it yet. There is a violinist playing music for two dancers who are engaged in a classical dance. I have painted violins before; it's one of my favorite instruments, even though I can’t play it myself.   The town in the background gradually comes into view. I don't want to spoil the outcome, so I won’t reveal which city it is, but I think that if you have been there, it should be quite recognizable even at this early stage. So, let’s put it this way: if you do recognize it, keep it to yourself!!!  ;-)
